Battle Dragons

There are currently 37 different species of dragons that can be used to battle in the game. Some of these are hybrids/Crossbreeds of two other species.

10 species will be added to the game soon.

Abomibumble

Sneaky Abomibumble Broad Wing 1
Abomibumbles, like their Gronckle forebearers, have four legs, multiple bumps on the back and tail, and a rounded face with a blunt nasal horn. These dragons also possess two pairs of short horns on their head and single claw-tipped wings — both of which are inherited from the Nightmare side of the family.

Dragons:

Boneknapper

Bludgeon Knapper Broad Wing 1
Boneknappers are built in a similar birdlike manner as the Deadly Nadder, albeit much larger. Their natural coloration seems to be a dull olive-green and gray, though it can be hard to see under their armor of bones.

Unlike most dragons, which have hard scales to protect themselves from enemies, Boneknapper scales are thin and soft. To counter this weakness, Boneknappers cover themselves in the bones and horns of dead dragons and other animals. As a form of defense, they can use a huge concentration of bones, forming a club at the end of their tail to disarm or injure opponents.

Dragons:

Bonestormer

Bulky Bonestormer Broad Wing 1
Inherited from their Stormcutter forebearers, Bonestormers exhibit two pairs of wings ending with a pointed claw and a small, defined frill that originates behind their heads and facial spines. Bonestormers also embraced a Boneknapper's clubbed tail while retaining its build and a pair of back-curved horns. Unlike the latter parent species, this hybrid only coats bones on its neck and tail.

Dragons:

Brooding Boltstamper

Gutsy Boltstamper Broad Wing 1
Brooding Boltstampers possess the build of a Rumblehorn, while their head, as well as wings, are a mix between their parental species. Similar to the Skrill, they have sharp, metallic spines running down their backs to their tails.

Dragons:

Buffalord

Hearty Buffalord Broad Wing 1
An adult Buffalord is one of the largest dragons in the series. The Buffalord's head is similar to a turtle's, with horns growing to the side and forward, like a yak, and a single horn resembling that of a unicorn or a rhinoceros growing atop the skull. It has very large wings and four small legs that are positioned close to the middle of its body. It also boasts a row of spines along its back, with smaller ones scattered on its bronze back too. As a herbivorous dragon, it is quite rotund.

Dragons:

Catastrophic Quaken

THIS SPECIES IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE IN THE GAME

As one of the biggest dragons to appear in the series, the Catastrophic Quaken has a somewhat stubby and short body with rather small wings. This dragon also has dark gray, bumpy skin, akin to that of the Gronckle and the Hotburple. It is covered with spikes all over. The Catastrophic Quaken's head, body, and tail are covered in short spikes. Its lower jaw can split in two, with a tongue on each jaw. They are larger than most other dragons in the Boulder class, including the Gronckle, but smaller than a full grown Screaming Death.

Dragons:

Changewing

Stalker Changewing Broad Wing 1
Changewings are usually red or green. They have teeth protruding out their lip from their lower jaw and yellow eyes. They possess a pair of horns that protrude from the back of their heads, a single horn on their nose, and a pair of antennae with leaf-like lobes. The spines on the Changewings are also leaf-like in shape. Their wings are red or green with yellow edges and their size is close to a Monstrous Nightmare's.

Dragons:

Crimson Goregutter

Gruff Goregutter Broad Wing 1
Crimson Goregutters are one of the largest land dragons. They are primarily crimson in color with purple details and light undersides. They have four long and stubby legs, with their forelimbs being longer than their hindlimbs. The Goregutters' most defining features are the massive moose-like metallic antlers that adorn their short-snouted heads. These antlers are large and powerful enough to be used as formidable weapons. The tip of their tails is shaped like a battle axe that can be used for defensive and offensive purposes.

Dragons:

Cylcarion

THIS SPECIES IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE IN THE GAME

Little is known about this Rumblehorn - Typhoomerang cross-breed.

Dragons:

Deadly Nadder

Nimble Nadder Broad Wing 1
In appearance, the Deadly Nadder is very beautiful and bird-like: it is bipedal, possesses winged forelimbs, and is about the same size as medium-sized theropod dinosaurs such as Allosaurus. Its small yet keen eyes, equipped with poor binocular vision, are one of the tools it uses to stalk its targets.

Its body is vividly colored, with a light beige underbelly, while its wings are mottled, darker shades. In front of its eyes is its curved nasal horn, which is often used to batter opponents; its lower jaw is shorter and wider than its upper, giving it an overbite (this sets it apart from all the other dragons in the first film, since — with the exception of the Night Fury — they all have underbites).

Ringing its skull is a crown of spikes. Coating the tail is a series of spines that can inject venom into a target. When relaxed, its head spikes and venomous tail spines lay flat, and when alarmed, they shoot upward to intimidate its foe. The tail spikes can also be used to make a rattling noise which it makes right before it attacks, similar to a rattlesnake's.

Dragons:

Deathburple

THIS SPECIES IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE IN THE GAME

Little is known about this Deadly Nadder-Hotburple cross-breed.

Dragons:

Deathgripper

Miasmic Deathgripper Broad Wing 1
Deathgrippers are medium-sized dragons with long, sharp tusks protruding out from their lower jaws and a row of armored plates lining on their backs. They have yellow eyes and their coloration is mainly red with black spots and stripes. The tails of Deathgrippers are telescopic, just like a Razorwhip's, and are tipped with a venomous scorpion-like stinger.

In place of front legs, Deathgrippers possess jagged, razor-sharp pincers similar to that of a mantis. The dragon's back legs are shorter and thinner with two claws on each of them.

Dragons:

Deathly Galeslash

Bitter Galeslash Broad Wing 1
The Deathly Galeslash's head resembles a Deadly Nadder while its body is almost identical to a Stormcutter. However, overall, they have the built of a Deadly Nadder covered with piercing poisonous spines, with added physical characteristics of the Stormcutter, most notably the two pairs of wings and three frills on each side of their heads, as well as a three-finned tail. As a hybrid, this dragon's scales are a mix between its parental species.

Dragons:

Dramillion

THIS SPECIES IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE IN THE GAME

The Dramillion is a medium-sized, bipedal dinosaur-like dragon with small arms and two claws at the end of each limb. It has a short thick neck and a small head. Its upper jaw resembles a beak of a parrot, while the lower jaw is more round and full of small teeth. It has three spikes on its head, which are asymmetrically placed. The Dramillion has medium-sized wings, with a claw on each of them. It has only a few sharp spikes on its back, and it has a long tail that ends with a large fin, similar to a flame (Almost representing its unique ability). However Dramillions are unable to fly if this fin is damaged or destroyed.

Dragons:

  • Standard Dramillon
  • Elder Dramillon
  • Nattvig
  • Ormsliki
  • Myrkva the Immoral

Eruptodon

THIS SPECIES IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE IN THE GAME

Eruptodons are large dragons, in fact among the largest species introduced in the Dragons: Race to the Edge series, that have a round body and quite a long tail. Their wings are quite large and their heads are as big as their bodies. Their front legs are very small compared to their hind legs and they have several big, spiky lobes along their backs and tails. Its body is covered with thick spineless, volcanic rock armor made of cooled lava. Its eyes are protected by welder goggle-type lenses to help withstand the intense heat.

Dragons:

Fireworm Queen

Enhanced Fireworm Queen Broad Wing 1
Fireworm Queens look similar in appearance to the average Fireworm, but have some differences that make them stand out from the rest. For instance, while the common Fireworm can fit in the palm of a hand, the queen is many times bigger, her size is comparable to that of a Boneknapper. She also possesses several horns located at the back of her nape and the front of her snout that together resemble a crown. When not heated-up or near her nest, the Fireworm Queen's normal skin color is much more pale , with slithly darker colored horns, spots, and underbelly. She also doesn't glow in this state. Fireworm Queens are, like the name suggests, always female and if another female Fireworm were to be born in a nest which already has a queen, the newly born Fireworm (the Fireworm Princess) would fly off to start a nest of her own. Fireworm Queens and Princesses would appear to be the only females in the species.

Dragons:

Ghastly Zapplejack

Vast Zapplejack Broad Wing 1
Ghastly Zapplejacks possess the body of a Hideous Zippleback, including the two necks and heads, but the face, horns, and wings are that of its Timberjack parent.

Dragons:

Gronckle

Gentle Gronckle Broad Wing 1
The Gronckle can be a slow, lazy, and cranky bulldog-like dragon, It has been known to fall asleep mid-flight, waking only when it plunges into the sea or crashes into a mountain. They spend the majority of the day sleeping.

Because of its tremendous weight and small wings, it would seem impossible for them to fly. However, because the wings of a Gronckle beat at a speed similar to that of hummingbirds', dragonflies', or bees' wings, it is possible for one to sustain flight. In fact, a Gronckle can fly backward, sideways, and even hover in place. However because of their massive weight and small wings they are the slowest dragons in the dragon world. Its tail can be mistaken for the head if little attention is paid to it.

Because of its large stout body and clubbed tail, the Gronckle somewhat resembles an Ankylosaurus. It has huge jaws which can be used to hold food. It has a rather blunt nose horn and fairly stubby toe claws. Its legs are practically useless in battle, and due to its short tail it has a fairly small attack range.

Dragons:

Hideous Zippleback

Zesty Zippleback Broad Wing 1
The Hideous Zippleback is often described as one of the most unusual dragons in the world. This dragon has two long, serpentine necks with rounded spikes on it. These spikes can 'zip' together, in order to create the illusion of one neck. At the end of the necks, are two short heads. The Zippleback has a large horn on its nose, and two thinner horns on top of its head. Like most dragons, they have yellow reptile-like eyes. The teeth in their lower jaw seem to be longer than the ones in the upper jaw, sticking out. They also have two tails, which can also 'zip' together. The end of the tail posses a fin-like structure on its tails. The official website stated that thanks to its relatively short legs and wings, the Zippleback is a slow walker and flier. Despite this, Barf and Belch has been seen flying quite fast. Their legs possess short, but strong legs with four sharp claws. The Zippleback is probably one of the longest of the medium-sized dragons, if not the biggest.

Dragons:

Hoarsbrumble

Hectic Hoarsbrumble Broad Wing 1
The overall body shape of the Hoarsbrumble originates from its Typhoomerang progenitor, but the neck is incredibly shorter and the head is rounder and tapers towards the snout. The center of the dorsal surface is lined with spikes, with narrow tubular protrusions located on both sides of the chin reminiscent of the Thunderdrum. Hoarsbrumble colors include yellows, blues, and greens in a broad range, coupled with yellow bulging eyeballs.

Dragons:

Hotburple

Hearty Hotburple Broad Wing 1
Hotburples strongly resemble their Gronckle relatives, although they have a larger body and wings, as well as their eyes being positioned closer to the snout than to the ears. Hotburples also appear to have a larger tail bludgeon and a slightly smaller jaw, but with sharper and smaller teeth compared to Gronckles. Like Gronckles, Hotburples have tough body scales and hard bumps all over them.

Dragons:

Humbanger

Helpful Humbanger Broad Wing 1
Humbangers have two rear legs and a pair of small, but functional wings. They have a large round head with long teeth, especially on the lower jaw. The lower jaw is also arrayed with spikes. Humbangers have a pair of horns on the top of the head that tend to point backwards and a row of ridges on the center of the head. The tail is long but hefty, and is weighed down by a large mace-like ball at the end. Humbangers' eyes have no visible pupils like the Whispering Death.

Dragons:

Hushbogle

Dangerous Hushbogle Broad Wing 1
Hushbogles share physical qualities of both parent species, developing a face, neck, and a long tail covered with spikes from the Whispering Death side, as well as being a biped dragon much like their Snow Wraith parent. Interestingly, their overall silhouette and posture superficially resembles that of a Deadly Nadder.

Dragons:

Light Fury

The Light Fury Broad Wing 1
Light Furies greatly resemble Night Furies, but they are sleeker with lighter coloring and glimmering textures that include white, cream, and pink. They possess a long, single spine running down the center of their back and light blue eyes. They also have two pairs of ear-like appendages on the top of their heads and a pink-colored nose. Because it is a variant of the Night Fury and not the same species, there are some notable differences. Toothless, the only known Night Fury, has very large scales covering his appendages, legs, and snout. The Light Fury does not show these traits. In addition, the Night Fury has ridges going along the middle of its head, whereas the Light Fury does not. On the sides of its head, the Light Fury has two fewer appendages than the Night Fury, and the head of the Night Fury is slightly longer. The mouth of the Light Fury is shorter, and it doesn't stretch as far across its face as the mouth of the Night Fury. This last trait, however, might just have to do with the personal traits of Toothless and the Unnamed Light Fury, and it may not have anything to do with the species.

The wings of the Light Furies are slightly shorter than those of the Night Furies, and they possess no sharp tips at their ends. They are glittery white in coloration and have stripes of glittery light pink running down their wings.

The tail flukes of the Light Furies are triangular in shape, white in color, and shorter than the Night Furies'. They have two smaller triangular flukes just above the main ones, these are hard to notice.

Dragons:

Monstrous Nightmare

Merciful Nightmare Broad Wing 1
Monstrous Nightmares come in many different colors such as purple, blue, scarlet, or green and possesses a long, snakelike neck and tail. Unlike some other breeds of dragon, it has no forelegs, and its ground-based locomotion is similar to that of Pterosaurs, except that it has a lower profile due to its sprawled wings; it can use its claw-tipped wings to "crawl" along the floor. Their horns might be used as a visual display and in defense, but the swept back position of the horns means it is unlikely to use them in combat. This dragon possesses two rows of spikes on it's back, its stripe skin patterns seem to mimic that of a tiger's.

Dragons:

Night Fury

Toothless Broad Wing 1
The Night Fury is the fastest, smartest, and rarest of the known species of dragons, as Toothless might be the last known member of his species. It is medium-sized with a sleek, dark body with black scales. It has faint lighter patterns similar to that of a manta ray.

The Night Fury somewhat resembles an axolotl or a gecko in general appearance and has two pairs of wings with a shape similar to a bat, two mobile, ear-like appendages on the back of its head that show its mood and help it hear, as well as other pairs around their jaw depending on their age. They also have a pair of large, yellowish-green, cat-like eyes and sharp retractable teeth. Unlike most dragon species, the Night Fury has a short neck and lacks any kind of horns. The tip of the snout is also prominent, resembling the rhinarium of a mammal. The dragon is about 26 feet in length.

In flight, the Night Fury's wingspan is unrivalled, bearing approximately 45 feet, making it resemble some sort of stealthy jet plane. This allows it to fly faster, longer and further than any of the other dragon species. It uses tail fins on its tail to help steer and maneuver, similar to an airplane rudder. However, a Night Fury will be incapable of flying if one of these fins is missing or destroyed, which shows that they are also used for ballast in flight. It is capable of taking flight from a standing start like a pigeon.

Dragons:

Razorwhip

Plated Razorwhip Broad Wing 1
The Razorwhip is a four-legged dragon with a long, slender neck, as well as metal-like, reflective scales. It has a long ledge on the top of its snout and a short, stumpy one on the bottom. Its body is covered in metal armor with two talons on each foot. The Razorwhip appears to have a short, spiky sail and has spikes all along its wings. Its teeth seem to wrap around the edge of its mouth, and it has high ridges over its eyes that resemble eyelashes.

Dragons:

Ridgesnipper

Sharp Ridgesnipper Broad Wing 1
Ridgesnippers are primarily bipedal dragons with their forearms greatly reduced in length, similar to the Snafflefang. Their heads are large and bulky, as well, and their coloration - patches of color over a contrasting base color - is also similar to Snafflefangs. Ridgesnippers have metallic grey plating covering the dorsal half of their bodies, from a horn on their snouts to the end of a mace-like tail.

Dragons:

Rumblehorn

Robust Rumblehorn Broad Wing 1
The Rumblehorn has relatively large wings, a wide torso, and a tail with a club-like hammer on the tip. Its most notable feature is the heavily armed front half of its body with firm armor plates on the neck and a large lower jaw, a battle axe-shaped muzzle, which is always digging in the dirt, looking for scents, and two, very sharp, elongated horns resembling those of ceratopsian dinosaurs, but lacking a beak. The Rumblehorn has a very acute sense of smell and is determined to track down and find anything once it has picked up the scent. In total, they look like a mix of truffle pig, a rhinoceros, a battle axe, and a scarab beetle.

Dragons:

Scauldron

THIS SPECIES IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE IN THE GAME

This dragon is gigantic, growing up to a size nearly the same as many giant cetaceans. It is a huge sea dragon that walks on four stubby and powerful legs. They have intense obesity to heat the water they suck in. Its tail is like that of a fish, helping it to swim. When filled with water, the Scauldron's stomach protrudes out and becomes very round. Its neck is very long and thin, and its head is usually fairly slender with its bottom jaw having a sort of pouch that hangs from its chin. When it is out of water for a long time, it begins to dehydrate due to which its skin turns into a shade of grey.

Its bottom jaw is very flexible, and it bulges out when filled with water. The bulging of its jaw is an indication that it is going to shoot boiling water. Its eyes are located near the front of its face, and it has a thin, curving nasal horn. It has peg like teeth that are ideal for catching fish, very sharp, and also happen to be venomous. Two or more whisker-like strings are connected to the Scauldrons' upper jaw. They have only been seen in three colors: turquoise, green, and pale blue, although they change color into parched gray when their body loses moisture. These colors are close to that of the ocean and it could serve as a form of camouflage.

Dragons:

Sentinel

THIS SPECIES IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE IN THE GAME

Sentinels are large dragons iconic for their tough rock-like epidermal layers that if pieced together with smaller stones, make them almost seemingly covered in moss. Their stature and bony wings resemble that of gargoyles. These scale clusters are more prominent on their faces and form rows of bony plates on their chest. They have a pair of short horns on their head, complemented by similar ones along their neck and one on their nose. These dragons are blind and thus have a translucent blue cataract over their eyes. Their wings are triangular, ending with several spines.

Dragons:

  • Gargoyle Sentinel
  • Hunky Punk
  • Fatua Morgana
  • Gargantuan Gargouille
  • Egregious Grotesquerie

Sheep

Blue Target Sheep
Sheep (Ovis aries) are domesticated herbivorous mammals. They have cloven hooves and move well on rocky terrain. Sheep may or may not have horns, or even a double set of horns, depending on breed. Most sheep appear to have thin spiraled horns. It is unclear if the horns indicate differences between gender or age, or are an arbitrary feature.

Sheep:

Singetail

Hotbelly Singetail Broad Wing 1
Singetails have a wide, flat body and a long tail. They have four wings, like a Thunderdrum, but with the bigger pair being set lower on its back. They have a spiky face with chameleon-like eyes that allow it to see in multiple directions, as well as several big, sharp spikes along their backs and tails.

It has eight extremities (four wings and four legs), two more than any other dragon and with the rearmost pair seemingly a modified pair of extra hind limbs unlike the Stormcutter, which has all four forelimbs as wings.

Dragons:

Skrill

Shadow Skrill Broad Wing 1
The Skrill has large wings and a spiked back and tail. These spines are metallic in nature and conduct the arcing electricity that it uses as its unique firepower.

The Skrill possess a crown of spikes on its head which nearly all are the same length. The Skrill's crown can also be used to give it expression, as it is able to control them to be pulled back or forward. Skrills have three short spines on their chin. It also appears to have four shark-like gills on its neck.

It apparently resembles a Night Fury in flight and rivals its speed, being only slightly slower. It's the size of a Deadly Nadder, but incredibly fast, comparing speed to size.

Dragons:

Slumberjack

THIS SPECIES IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE IN THE GAME

Little is known about this Monstrous Nightmare-Timberjack cross-breed.

Dragons:

Snafflefang

Stocky Snafflefang Broad Wing 1
The Snafflefang has a rounded body and a big head. It's first pair of legs are very small, but the second pair of legs are big. It has horns on its snout and on its forehead, a row of spines running along its back, and a spiked tail bludgeon. Its skin color pattern mimics to that of a Holstein cow or a pinto horse.

Dragons:

Snow Wraith

Wild Wraith Broad Wing 1
The Snow Wraith possesses two legs and broad wings. The Snow Wraith is the only Strike Class dragon to have significantly different types of teeth. Sharp, pointy teeth that are used for biting and tearing cover most of its mouth, while two prominent tusks used for grabbing protrude from its lower jaw. Also, this dragon has a long ledge under its chin and what resembles thick eyebrows. The Snow Wraith has a long tail covered with spikes and a thick, fleshy tongue with bump-like features on it. It has two claws and toes on its feet. The Snow Wraith's wings are unique in terms of structure. The humerus (part of bone connected to the body) is the only part of the wing connected to the body, with the rest of the wing structure is hanging outside of the body. This allows the Snow Wraith to easily walk on four limbs as the wing fingers that stretch to the back of the wing are placed in a very unique way, some of them are close to each other, while the next one would be further apart. This also makes its humerus very strong; while most dragons require extra support from the rest of its wings for speed and stability, the Snow Wraith is still able to fly at very high speeds.

Dragons:

Stormcutter

Serene Stormcutter Broad Wing 1
Stormcutters are known for their large size and two pairs of wings. They have owl mannerisms and a second set of wings under their main ones that can split and become an "X". Stormcutter dragons walk on this second set of wings and their hind legs. The wings can also come close together so they can be like one main pair. They have a very muscular and sturdy build. Their face has two long spines that branch off their brow to the side and they have a "smashed" face, kind of like an owl, making them seemingly brachycephalic. They have a three-finned tail and also have many spines down their back and a large "crown" on their head that makes them look even more menacing.

Dragons:

Thunderbottom

Fierce Thunderbottom Broad Wing 1
The body of a Thunderbottom is nearly identical to that of the Thunderdrum parent, having four legs and four unfoldable wings. The tail ends in a round, bludgeon-like shape, similar to that of a Gronckle. The Thunderbottom has a large head with a wide mout that contains teeth of both a Thunderdrum and a Gronckle. It has a small bumpy nasal horn and bulged eyes. The Thunderbottom has a pair of external ears and a long row of small narrow spines along its back and tail. The Thunderbottom has three spike-like appendages on both sides of its head and several bumps on its body, similar to those of a Gronckle.

Dragons:

Thunderclaw

Polar Thunderclaw Broad Wing 1
Thunderclaws have a ledge on their chin and a large sail on their back. Their bodies have large spots or stripes as patterns and they have a thick, fat tail. Thunderclaws are a squat dragon with large bodies and short, but strong legs. They are, for the most part, bipedal but can rest on their forelimbs when necessary. They have a large nose horn and an elongated chin. Their hides have colorful spotted markings of varying colors. Some Thunderclaws even sport iridescent scales, as seen during the introduction to Valka's Bewilderbeast in How to Train Your Dragon 2.

Dragons:

Thunderdrum

Tectonic Thunderdrum Broad Wing 1
This dragon relies mostly on its two sets of wings, one primary and one smaller set to the rear, using them to get around and move through the water like a tornado.

These dragons have stubby legs and long, skinny tails. It also has a series of backward facing spikes sticking out of its back. The Thunderdrum's body resembles several marine creatures such as a basking shark, a whale shark, a manta ray, or a baleen whale. Thunderdrums have really powerful wings and the spikes on their tails are very sharp.

Dragons:

Timberjack

Tricky Timberjack Broad Wing 1
A Timberjack possesses a long serpentine-like body, with several short spines along its back ending in an ordinary pointed tail. Their wingspan is huge, and each wing has two hooks which are located in the middle of each wing on opposite ends pointing in opposite directions, which are used by the dragons as weapons and more accurate slicing and as legs, since they obviously lack any. Timberjacks have long necks, a stout head, two horns and several tendrils coming out of their chins, similar to Monstrous Nightmares.

Its overall body shape strongly resembles a "legless" Typhoomerang.

Dragons:

Triple Stryke

THIS SPECIES IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE IN THE GAME

The Triple Stryke is a stockily built, arachnid-like dragon with armored plates on its back that resembles an armadillo's and two legs. It has two ear-like appendages on its head. The most notable feature has to be its thick, braided tail that can unwind and split into three thinner ones. Each tail is equipped with a stinger, much like a scorpion, although some individuals, such as Syringaca, have egg-shaped structures on their tail tips instead. Their forelimbs act as pincers, which also resemble a scorpion.

Dragons:

Typhoomerang

Tense Typhoomerang Broad Wing 1
Typhoomerangs are very large dragons, and they come in a variety of colors including blue, yellow, red, and orange. They have two large horns and orange eyes. The legs are exactly like that of a Monstrous Nightmare. They look like a mix-breed of a Monstrous Nightmare and a Timberjack.

Dragons:

Voltknapper

Knavish Voltknapper Broad Wing 1
The Voltknapper's overall body shape resembles that of a Skrill. However, they have the bone armor of a Boneknapper covering their body, with added physical characteristics of the Boneknapper, most notably the horns, the long claws on its legs and the double wing claws. As a hybrid, this dragon's scales are a mix between its parental species.

Dragons:

Whispering Death

Guarded Whisper Broad Wing 1
Whispering Deaths resemble more like a giant gulper eel than a Screaming Death, with bulging eyes, spiny face and six rows of rotating teeth in their mouths. They also greatly resemble a serpentine Deadly Nadder, but with no legs and only spikes decorating their undersides.

Many consider them extremely vicious and often have nightmares after confronting these horrors. Their gaping mouths are full of deadly rotating teeth.

Dragons:

Windgnasher

Defender Windgnasher Broad Wing 1
The Windgnasher is a medium sized dragon, but with a strong built. It has a distinct hump on its back and snout. In addition, it has a crown-like frill at the back of its head. Its body is covered with bumps throughout, and the tip of its tail is armed with a mace-like bludgeon. Its back legs are short, but relatively big, with three claws each. Its front legs are longer, but thinner than the back legs. Despite having a bipedal built, the Windgnasher walks on all four legs.

Dragons:

Zipplewraith

THIS SPECIES IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE IN THE GAME

Little is known about this Hideous Zippleback-Snow Wraith cross-breed.

Dragons:

Alphas (Bosses or Titans)

These Alpha dragons are present at the end of a region, or on the Clan's Island. They are dragons corrupted by evil forces. They cannot be used by the player and need to be defeated to regain their free will. Only 6 of them have been seen so far.

Foreverwing

The Foreverwing is a colossal dragon. It has a woody brown color and the what seems to be like branches at the back of its head and below its chin. These 'branch-like' objects resemble hair and a beard. With small, kind eyes and an aged appearance, this dragons looks rather old and wise. The Foreverwing has thick foliage such as trees and vegetation on its back.

The Guardian of the Forest can be seen on the last level of the Drenchwood Forest, which is part of the Berk Forest and the Hooligan Timberland regions.

Map F

Bewilderbeast

Bewilderbeasts are incredibly massive, spiky dragons with a pair of massive, tusk-like horns protruding from the sides of their heads and huge multiple wings. The front side of their bodies are covered with burr-like spikes, along with two lines of spikes along the eyelids, giving an impression of eyebrows. Protrusions from the back of their heads form mane-like frills. Unlike Red Deaths, Bewilderbeasts are unable to fly for not having big enough wings for flight, mostly due to their colossal body sizes, and it is likely they use their wings to assist them in swimming, similar to penguins. This makes one of the few weaknesses that make this species vulnerable.

Proportions of upper and lower jaws are unlike those of usual reptiles, having a fish-like mouth with small teeth. Their lips are similar to those of mammals like humans to enable them 'blow' actions. Interestingly, no nostrils are visible on their faces. Their hard, "coral-like amphibian skin" covers their whole bodies and the scales provide surprisingly robust defenses to the dragons. In total, this species has many unique characteristics, making it a very mammal-like dragon. They come in colors such as ice white, muddy gray, and dark purple.

The Bewilderbeast can be seen on the last level of Valka's Sanctuary, which is part of the Frozen Tundra and the Coldwind Wastes regions.

Map B

Green Death

The Green Death is an immense dragon, almost the size of a mountain. It has six eyes, three on each side of its head, and a short thick nasal horn. The Crimson Death has a large crown of spikes at the back of its head which has a coral-like shape. It has huge legs with small crimson spikes on them, hence its name. It has large wings, compared to its body and a long tail which ends in a club. It is a grayish green color with crimson spikes and belly.

The Green Death can be seen on the last level of Dragon Island, which is part of the Burning Barrens and the Blistering Badlands regions. The dragon in the second region has a different color (grey-purple hide) and is referred to as the Violet Death.

Map C

Screaming Death

The Screaming Death is a heavily mutated, albino Whispering Death. It is white in color, has large red eyes, a longer and a more massive body, and larger tail than an 'average' Whispering Death. It also has three rows of teeth, but they are aligned differently than those of the Whispering Death, set in a chin reminiscent of a Red Death. They have rows of frilly spines that line the edges of its unsegmented underbelly.

Despite the Screaming Death's size, its wings are only the size of a Scauldron's. This is because it uses its excessively long tail as a sort of rotor. Titan Wing Screaming Deaths are larger, with more spines on their bodies. They have red stripes on their wings and backs. Their backs are gray. They also consist of more teeth and a gray-ish face.

The Screaming Death can be seen on the last level of The Screeching Woodlands, which is part of the Wild Woodland and the Barbaric Back-Country regions.

Shellfire

As a Titan Wing, the Shellfire is one of the largest dragons to appear in the series. It has two long and slightly curved horns on the sides of its head, relatively long wings, and a rough dorsal protective shell. Overall The Shellfire dragon roughly resembles a trilobite and a horseshoe crab combined, with overlapping segmented scales covering its body forming a carapace-like armor. The dragon has four stubby legs and a pair of unique fan-shaped wings used mainly for swimming.

The Shellfire can be seen on the last level of the The Isle of Vanaheim, which is part of the Mysterious Marshlands and Baneful Boglands regions.
